Lucid Drawdown Rules

The drawdown amount is your loss allowance. The account’s headline size is not money you can withdraw.

Flex · Pro · Direct

End-of-day trailing

The loss threshold follows the highest closing balance. A lower close does not move it back down. Touching the threshold breaches the account.

Illustrative 50K EOD account
Starting balance$50,000Threshold $48,000
New highest close$51,000Threshold $49,000
Later lower close$50,500Threshold $49,000
Daily funded

Intraday trailing

The threshold rises with real-time P&L. Giving back an unrealized gain can therefore leave less room than an EOD account.

Daily changes at the funded stage

Even when you choose EOD for the evaluation, Daily funded accounts always use intraday drawdown.

Where trailing stops

Flex has an extra trigger: requesting a payout moves its threshold to the locked level. No payout buffer does not mean no remaining drawdown requirement.

Lucid Payout Rules

These rules apply to simulated funded accounts. Evaluation profits are not available for withdrawal.

Eligibility & request limits

Pro and Direct account overviews say “no simulated payout caps”, but their dedicated payout pages publish per-request limits. The limits above follow those payout pages; confirm the applicable agreement before buying.

Processing after approvalLucid advertises about 15 minutes on average; plan rules allow up to 2 business days for disbursement. Approval and bank receipt are separate steps.

Plaid

Instant bank transfers for U.S. traders, after approval.

WorkMarket by ADP

U.S. and international traders. Bank transfer or PayPal; receipt may be as early as the next business day.

Crypto

International traders. BTC, ETH, LTC, USDT and USDC are listed.

Account fees are one-time payments. Optional services and transaction costs still matter.

Lucid Trading Rules

Keep the account stage and the consequence in view. Expand a rule for the exact distinction.

Loss threshold All four plansAccount breach
Reaching the maximum loss threshold breaches the account. EOD describes how the threshold moves; it does not permit trading through that threshold during the session.
Daily loss limit DLL-enabled accountsSession pause
Hitting the DLL pauses trading until the next session, provided the maximum loss threshold has not also been hit. Pro and Direct can move to LucidScale after the specified trail balance: 60% of highest end-of-day account profit, not 60% of the nominal account size.
Position sizing Flex fundedScaling applies
Flex starts below its maximum contract limit and adjusts at session end. Payouts can reduce the available tier. Deliberately bypassing limits can trigger review and removal of daily profit. See the linked scaling table.
High-impact USD news Daily fundedHard breach
Remain flat from one minute before until one minute after a high-impact USD event. The funded Daily article specifies this window; the general activities article says Daily more broadly, so confirm evaluation scope. Flex, Pro and Direct permit news trading under the other rules.
Session close Flex · Pro · DirectAuto-close
The trading-times page states 4:45 PM “EST” closure and 6:00 PM “EST” reopening. Auto-closure itself is not a failed account. Holiday hours override the usual close. Daily is not named on that page; verify its session schedule and the daylight-saving interpretation.
Inactivity Evaluation & fundedDeletion after 30 days
Within each 30-calendar-day period, trading must produce at least $1 net profit or loss. An account that does not satisfy the activity requirement is treated as abandoned.
Prohibited execution All accountsReview & sanctions
Microscalping is flagged when more than 50% of profit comes from trades held five seconds or less. Confirmed repeated abuse after a warning can lose profits and access. HFT is prohibited; repeated offenses can remove profits and close accounts. Cross-account hedging can reset balances and, on repetition, breach accounts. Compliant automation and genuine scalping are allowed.

Frequently Asked Questions

A few distinctions worth checking before you choose.

Does “funded” mean a live brokerage account?
No. Flex, Pro, Daily and Direct funded stages covered here are simulated. Live transition is a separate process; Direct skips evaluation, not simulation.
Which account has no funded consistency rule?
Flex and Daily. Flex requires five qualifying profit days each payout cycle; Daily requires profits above its buffer and positive net profit since the previous payout.
Can I turn off the daily loss limit?
Flex, Pro and Daily offer customization at purchase. The comparison shows DLL ON and EOD evaluations. Different settings change the price and cannot be assumed to match this quote.
Which platforms can I use?
Lucid lists NinjaTrader, Tradovate and TradingView through CQG; Rithmic options include MotiveWave, Quantower, Tradesea, Sierra Chart and others. Check software licensing separately.
Can I trade after requesting a payout?
Keep the requested amount out of your risk calculations. A falling balance before processing can make the request ineligible. Submitted payout requests cannot be edited or canceled.
